From Soil We Remember

I (Founder) was raised in a farming family. Mustard fields were not landscapes to admire; they were responsibility. Harvest was not a season to document; it was livelihood.

Until the age of twenty, my life moved with the rhythm of the land. We knew our fields, we knew our crops, and we knew the oil we consumed. Food had a source. It had a season. It had a face.

When I moved to the city for education and opportunity, the shelves looked immaculate and the bottles refined. Everything appeared elevated. Yet something essential was missing.

Where did it begin? How was it processed? What changed between the seed and the bottle?

Food had become convenient. It had also become anonymous.

Kannagara was born from that quiet awareness — not as rebellion, not as trend, but as a deliberate return to integrity.

Why It Matters

What enters your kitchen enters your family. Food is not only nourishment; it is continuity.

Kannagara does not aim to be the loudest brand. It aims to be an accountable one — from soil to kitchen, with memory, intention, and integrity.

Our Vision

We believe food does not need to be over-engineered or stripped of its identity in the name of efficiency. It should remain close to its origin.

Our vision is to make the food process as simple as intended by nature, and to create complete transparency — from soil preparation to the kitchen shelf. We strongly believe this is possible.

Step by step, we are working towards our long-term vision.

Today, we are working with traditional wood-press processors who align with our belief in slow, natural extraction methods. We prioritize purity and hygiene above everything else.

Our aim is to fully own and operate our wood-pressed units to achieve the purest form of food and provide 100% traceability into every step of the process starting from the roots.

To begin with, we are starting with mustard, groundnut, coconut, and sunflower oils. In time, we hope to extend the same discipline to essentials such as atta, ghee, curd, and other food products.

Together, let’s restore trust in everyday food.
